About me
My interest in IT goes back to my early youth, and professionally it has been part of my life since 2006. First in system administration, then ten years as head of IT at a dairy cooperative. Today I shape the infrastructure in IT systems management at a globally operating technology group: planned, securely built, reliable in operation.
And after work? Same curiosity, my own playground. I want to understand how the technology behind my services works, and keep my data in my own hands. That's why mail, files, documents and smart home run on my own servers, for me and my family. It takes time, and some things only work on the second try.
And away from the screen?
Born in the late eighties and at home in the Chiemgau ever since, where the mountains are close and my everyday life is lively. My wife and our three children make sure there is never a dull moment. What balances out the technology for me are my hobbies, best enjoyed with my family and out in nature.
